This article will guide you in eliminating another Ransomware-based virus, Gc47 through a set of detailed instructions. We will also provide you important details about this ransomware.

What is Gc47 virus? This type of ransomware is an excellent file-encrypting virus that is very difficult to identify since it also has a characteristic of a Trojan horse so you’ll never know if your computer is infected until a message is displayed demanding you to pay the ransom in order to get the key to decrypt your encrypted files. Basically, Gc47 uses the help of Trojan horse to get into your computer without you noticing. It locks your computer operating system and would only provide you the details and the process to pay the money in a given period of time. If you fail to give the demanded amount on the time they specified, they increase the ransom. But before Gc47 locks your system up, it will also allow other viruses to attack your computer so that it can monitor your system and analyze your files to find out which files do you frequently used.

Dealing with Ransomware can be complicated as well as dealing with a Trojan horse but dealing with both in the form of Gc47 can be extremely difficult and burdensome for all users that you might need the help of a professional or a powerful antivirus like SpyRemover Pro in getting rid of it as well as repair your computer system. Don’t even think about considering paying the ransom to the hacker, it’s too risky since you will be providing your card information and you might end up losing even more money. Besides, paying the ransom doesn’t mean that the hacker will be doing their end of the bargain; it’s not a guarantee at all. So you have to do your best first to remove the infection if you don’t want to spend money in getting an expert’s help or worse, pay the ransom. Later in this article, we will provide you the detailed instructions in removing Gc47.

How does Gc47 distributed? Like most, if not all ransomware, it is distributed through, spam email messages, suspicious links, annoying pop-ups and ads and mostly, software bundle. Out of these mentioned ways, software bundle is one of the most used ones by the hacker. Why? Because most users are fond of installing free software; they install the software they like without knowing that it has another software attached to it, so once they install the software they like, they ended up installing another software too. Then they’ll be caught off guard because they suddenly receive the ransom message. The thing about Gc47 is, it barely shows any symptoms though. It secretly operates behind the users’ back.

One thing you have to remember always, “Prevention is the key”, that should be your motto when browsing the web. Be careful when dealing with spam emails, distrustful pop-ups and ads, downloading free software, especially bundled software. And as much as possible, update your antivirus for it can really help in detecting threats like this, assuming you have an excellent one like SpyRemover Pro.
